About

Media Psychology: They are Us is a blog site dedicated to the discussion of quantum changes occurring in the mediated world of communication in the 21st century and its implications for global interaction.  The opening salvo to this fundamental departure from passive reception of media messages occurred with the introduction and widespread penetration of the World Wide Web as the 20th century drew to a close.  As an agent for change, the Internet‘s impact represents a global sea change with implications both politically and socially.  This site maintains a neutral stance and welcomes all input, and ultimately argues we are witnesses to the beginnings of individual empowerment with the creation of a “5th Estate.”    –Sean P.
